Where to Measure at:
* IS THE MOST IMPORTANT
MEASUREMENT.
Chest:
Measure
around the chest at the fullest part.
Waist: Measure
around the waistline or where the skirt
will be worn.
Hips:
Measure around the body at the fullest part of the hips.
Back Length: Measure in back from the bone at the base of the neck
to desired length allowing for skirt overlap.
Skirt Length: Measure from the top of the waistband to the desired
length in the back (over buttocks).
Pant Inseam: Measure the length from the crotch inseam to the desired
length (it may be easier to measure a pair of well fitting pants).
Measuring Helpful Hints:
Have the
same person (coach or parent) do all of your measurements - this helps with
consistency.
Keep your
measuring tape straight and snug but not tight.
Do not measure over bulky clothing. Have your team members be measured in a bodysuit or bathing suit if possible.
Remember that these are general sizing guidelines and are designed to be an average fit. Not everyone is "perfect" so it is possible to have a girl in a Y8 top but a Y12 skirt, or a youth top but an adult skirt. We guarantee that our garments will fit within the above guidelines allowing up to 1" in variation. Because everyone's shapes and sizes vary so greatly, we cannot guarantee a "fitted" look. If you are wanting a fitted look, be prepared to have alterations made after you receive your order.
It is important to remember that since these uniforms are made specifically for you, they are not returnable or exchangeable. These are not like "normal" clothing sizes so please take some time to measure carefully and do not guess at sizes. If a team member is on the outer borderline of a size or if you would like a looser fit, it may be better to order a larger size to allow for greater flexibility (and growth). The sizing specs outlined above are the actual finished garment measurements. We have sizing samples available, a security deposit will be required. Custom sizes can be ordered for an additional charge. Please contact us for an order form when you are ready to start sizing.
